Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Waterford for a Chef De Partie at Viking Hotel Waterford.
The Chef De Partie will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to the established menu and standards.
Day-to-day tasks include overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining high hygiene standards, managing ingredients inventory, and ensuring the efficient execution of dishes.
The role also involves training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, contributing to menu development, and ensuring excellent food presentation.
Qualifications
Culinary skills including meal preparation, cooking, and food presentation
Experience in overseeing kitchen operations and maintaining hygiene standards
Inventory management and ingredient sourcing skills
Ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong understanding of food safety regulations
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications
Previous experience in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant setting is a plus
