NTERNAL/EXTERNAL COMPETITION Ref No: 2026/006 12 Month Fixed term Contract (7 hours Per week ) This post is specific to a one-year quality improvement project funded by the DCDE What Works Initiative which aims to pilot an Occupational Therapy led, web-based surveillance programme of high-risk infants following discharge from the neonatal unit in order to expand developmental follow-up for these infants. Below outlines the qualifications, skills, knowledge or experience that the successful candidate would need to demonstrate for successful discharge of the responsibilities of the post. Applications will be assessed on the basis of how well candidates satisfy these criteria. Mandatory: Strong organisational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and part of a team. Excellent communication skills Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Experience of handling confidential and medically sensitive information. Desirable: Familiarity with IPIMS Familiarity with electronic health records Experience in participant recruitment or data collection. Familiarity with research ethics and data protection regulations. Proficiency in data entry An awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion agenda. Principal duties and responsibilities: Participant recruitment: collaborate with the OT project team to identify and recruit participants from the neonatal unit at the Rotunda hospital in a timely fashion, ensuring adherence to protocols and ethical guidelines. Data collection: collect and manage data using MNCMS, IPIMS and ISLA platforms. Ensure data accuracy and completeness. Project management support: assist the OT lead with the daily management of the project including scheduling, coordination and communication with relevant staff and stakeholders. Ethical considerations: ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and regulations governing research involving human participants. Prioritise patient safety and data protection. Data entry and analysis: assist in data entry tasks under guidance of the project team. Documentation: maintain organised records of participant information, consent forms and other project related documentation. Collaboration: collaborate effectively with team members including OT lead, other medical staff/clinicians as appropriate to achieve objectives. Reporting: contribute to the preparation of progress reports, research ethic committee applications and project documentation as required by the funding agency and hospital committees. he above Job Specification is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties involved and consequently, the post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post which may be assigned to them from time to time and to contribute to the development of the post.
