Purpose of the Role:

K2 is seeking a Compliance and Regulatory Risk Specialist to manage and service our data centre infrastructure and facilities. The role involves ensuring that operations procedures, documentation, and records meet relevant certification and operational requirements, such as ISO certification, Health and Safety standards, Security Management System records, and IT requirements.


Responsibilities:

1. Manage compliance related to data centre ISO accreditation and the Information Security Management System. Collaborate with IT support vendors, group functions, and compliance support vendors.
2. Serve as the point of contact for Health and Safety across all sites, coordinate with vendors, and facilitate training. Seek ISO accreditation for K2 data centres.
3. Support the development and maintenance of the Information Security Management System and prepare for audits.
4. Monitor and report on environmental and recycling waste management for sustainability and support audits.
5. Coordinate environmental audits alongside the Facilities Lead.
6. Manage IT procurement, licensing, support licensing, and asset management across data centre sites.
7. Collaborate with finance and operations teams on budgets, billing, and customer invoicing.
8. Oversee operations planning for preventive maintenance using the Computer Aided Facility Management System.
9. Coordinate physical security measures with the Facility Lead and security vendors.
10. Work with the General Manager on CSR projects, increasing in scope.
11. Manage internal and external training schedules, including EHS and technical training.
12. Maintain EHS policies and processes within the facility.
13. Support asset and lifecycle management of IT equipment, working with IT vendors.
14. Assist finance with purchase orders, invoicing, and budgeting.
15. Plan and execute preventive maintenance, manage the building facilities ticketing system, and develop reports.
16. Become a subject matter expert on the building facilities ticket system and new systems as they come online.
17. Monitor and report on physical security, working with security vendors.
18. Manage ad-hoc projects and prepare analytical reports with recommendations.
19. Collaborate across departments to increase efficiency and mitigate failure risks.


Working Environment:

* Walking on uneven terrain at job sites.
* Work at heights and in noisy environments.
* Operate in confined spaces.
* Perform physical tasks, including lifting and group lifts.
* Use tools and equipment, requiring bending, twisting, and manual manipulation.


Interpersonal Requirements:

* Pay close attention to detail.


Skills and Qualifications:

* Diploma or relevant certification.
* 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a data centre environment.
* Understanding of IT security and networking is advantageous.
* Strong documentation, policy writing, and editing skills.
* Knowledge of EHS requirements and ISO standards (ISO27001, ISO45001, ISO14001) is preferred.
* Experience with Soc 2 Type 2 compliance is a plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer applications.
* Innovative mindset and leadership experience.
