VP Trading – Aircraft Leasing | Dublin
About the Job:
An established global aircraft leasing platform is seeking a VP Trading to join its Dublin office. This is a key strategic role, responsible for executing aircraft acquisition and divestment strategies, managing end-to-end trading transactions, and helping shape the future direction of the fleet. The successful candidate will act as a senior dealmaker, working cross-functionally and externally with investors and leasing companies worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead aircraft trading initiatives in line with company portfolio strategy
* Execute acquisitions and disposals, including financial modelling, due diligence, and negotiation
* Build and maintain relationships with lessors, financial institutions, and investors
* Present and evaluate new investment and trading opportunities (individual aircraft and portfolios)
* Manage LOI/contract negotiation and work closely with finance, technical, and legal teams
* Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance and divestment opportunities
* Support broader commercial and strategic projects alongside senior leadership
Qualifications:
* Degree-qualified in finance, economics, or related field
* Significant experience in aircraft leasing or trading roles at a global level
* Strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of aircraft valuation and investment returns
* Proven ability to close complex transactions and manage cross-functional deal teams
* Highly numerate with advanced Excel modelling skills
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
* Willingness to travel internationally at short notice
