Buying Administrator Role

Key Responsibilities:
8. Pricing and product maintenance.
9. Product code management.
10. Create pricing in line with margin parameters and with input from the sales team.
11. Solve pricing queries from suppliers and customers.
12. System and database maintenance.
13. Identify alternative suppliers and build partnerships to innovate business processes and products.
14. Negotiate with existing and potential new suppliers to achieve pricing consistent with market requirements, whilst maintaining high service levels and security of supply.
15. Review margin reports to detect pricing errors and margin erosion.
Requirements
16. Knowledge of the food / raw material distribution sector or relevant experience in technical administration / customer / supplier service in a professional distribution environment would be beneficial.
17. Proven commercial awareness.
18. Strong negotiation, organisational and planning skills.
19. Ability to focus and prioritise tasks.
20. Experience dealing with third-party relationships eg: suppliers.
21. Proficiency with MS Office application – advanced Excel required.
