Role Overview
The Senior Buyer will manage the procurement of materials, plant, and services for the company’s housing projects. This role involves working closely with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the procurement of materials, plant, and services for residential projects.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices and terms.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure materials are delivered on time and meet project specifications.
Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and develop new vendor partnerships.
Monitor stock levels and manage procurement budgets effectively.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior Buyer or in a similar procurement role within the construction or housing sector.
Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, suppliers, and market trends.
Ability to manage budgets and track costs effectively.
A relevant qualification in construction, procurement, or a related field.
