We're looking for a Field Engineer to join our team and play a key role in supporting one of our valued clients in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, solving complex problems, and delivering excellent service.
In this role, you'll combine your technical expertise with a client-first approach to keep critical IT systems running smoothly. You'll be out and about with up to four site visits per week, so flexibility and a proactive mindset are essential.
We're particularly keen to hear from candidates with strong knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack – including Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and Active Directory – who are passionate about delivering great results.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of a supportive team of 11, you'll be working predominantly with one of our key clients, with remote support required at a 1st line level for other clients. Your responsibilities will include:
* Resolving Complex Issues: Responding to escalated tickets from the 1st Line Service Desk and troubleshooting technical problems.
* Hands-On Problem Solving: Conducting in-depth analysis to find root causes and deliver lasting solutions.
* Supporting Users: Providing clear, helpful technical guidance to end-users, both remotely and on-site.
* Documentation: Logging incidents and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system for effective tracking and knowledge sharing.
* Monitoring & Preventing Issues: Keeping an eye on system performance, identifying risks, and taking preventative measures.
* Continuous Improvement: Contributing ideas and feedback to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
Requirements
What we're looking for:
* At least 2 years' experience in a service desk role, with a solid track record of supporting users
* Confidence working directly with clients and building positive, professional relationships
* Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies
* Clear, friendly, and effective communication skills
