NPD Technologist Food Manufacturing (Cork) We are recruiting for an innovative food manufacturing company based in Cork seeking a creative and technically minded NPD Technologist.
This role is central to the product development lifecycle, from initial concept kitchen trials through to full-scale commercial launch.

Core Responsibilities Product Development: Manage the development of new products and the enhancement of existing ranges, ensuring all concepts meet customer briefs and cost targets.
Kitchen Trials: Conduct initial kitchen-scale trials, focusing on flavour profile, texture, and shelf-life stability.
Factory Trials: Lead and coordinate pilot and full-scale factory trials, troubleshooting technical issues during the scale-up process.
Technical Documentation: Create and manage accurate product specifications, including ingredient declarations, nutritional data, and allergen information.
Benchmarking: Conduct regular sensory analysis and competitive benchmarking to ensure product superiority in the marketplace.
Compliance: Ensure all new formulations comply with current food legislation and labelling regulations.
Candidate Profile & Compensation Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
13 years of experience in an NPD or product development role within the food industry.
Strong passion for food trends and a creative approach to ingredient functionality.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency in using recipe management software and MS Office.
Compensation Salary Range: €35,000 €45,000 per annum (Negotiable based on experience).
