This is a pivotal leadership role at a critical and exciting stage of our journey.The RoleThe Fractional CFO will serve as a key financial leader and strategic advisor, working closely with the CEO and leadership team. You will oversee the financial health and operational finance functions of the business while providing strategic financial insights to support growth and optimise operational efficiency.A major focus of this role will be leading our investment fundraising process for the new B2B eCommerce platform, ensuring we are financially investor-ready and well-positioned to secure capital from the right partners.Reports to: Founder & CEOKey ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end investment readiness process for our SaaS platform, including financial modelling, valuation strategy, investor pitch materials, and due diligence preparation.Build and maintain relationships with investors, corporate finance advisors, and funding partners.Support negotiations, term sheet reviews, and investor reporting requirements.Strategic Financial LeadershipDevelop and manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling for both the agency and SaaS platform business.Provide financial insights to inform strategic business decisions, pricing models, and market expansion plans.Partner with the leadership team to align financial strategy with growth objectives.Financial Operations & ControlsOversee all financial reporting, management accounts, cost analysis, and cash flow management.Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting for both Ireland and UK operations.Support the implementation and optimisation of financial systems, processes, and controls.Agency Finance LeadershipTrack and optimise project profitability, resource utilisation, client margins, and operational KPIs.Manage revenue recognition policies for both project-based and recurring revenue contracts.Provide financial oversight for commercial contracts, client agreements, and vendor negotiations.Governance, Compliance & Risk ManagementLiaise with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and legal partners.Ensure compliance with tax, audit, legal, and corporate governance requirements in both Ireland and the UK.Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks to safeguard business continuity.RequirementsProven track record as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leader, ideally within a digital agency, eCommerce, SaaS, or technology services business.In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax compliance, reporting standards, and audit processes in both Ireland and the UK.Demonstrable success in raising investment (equity, debt, or private capital) for product or platform-based businesses.Strong understanding of agency and SaaS business models, financial metrics, revenue recognition practices, and client profitability management.Experience working with investors, corporate finance advisors, and funding institutions.Familiarity with government and Enterprise Ireland grant submissions, R&D tax credit claims, management accounts preparation, government statistics reporting, and end-of-year closing procedures.Skills & Attributes:Commercially astute with strong financial modelling and strategic planning capability.Hands-on, pragmatic, and solutions-focused, with a proactive and collaborative leadership style.Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, founder-led, entrepreneurial environmentWhy Join Us?Play a key leadership role in an ambitious, innovative business at a pivotal stage of growth.Lead a high-impact investment process for a market-ready SaaS platform.Collaborate with a passionate, experienced, and forward-thinking leadership team.Flexible, part-time fractional opportunity with the scope to shape the financial strategy of a scaling agency and SaaS business.
