Automation Engineer-IE

12-Month Contract. Valid working rights for Ireland are required.

Immediate Start. This is a temporary position.


Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure automation systems operate with maximum uptime and performance.
* Manage system user access, backups, and restores to maintain data integrity.
* Implement corrective actions in collaboration with vendor technical support teams.
* Identify and execute small projects to enhance system performance, improving overall efficiency.
* Contribute to capital planning, project execution, and documentation, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
* Create and maintain engineering deliverables and test scripts to support development and testing.
* Develop and implement global automation strategies to standardize processes, enhancing consistency across the organization.
* Maintain and optimize automation systems and infrastructure, ensuring they remain efficient and effective.
* Develop solutions tailored to the manufacturing environment, addressing specific needs and challenges.
* Drive automation projects, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical goals are met, and delivering value to the business.
* Stay updated with technology trends and benchmarks, maintaining Takeda's position at the forefront of innovation.


Your Profile:

* Degree in engineering (automation, robotics, computer science, etc.) or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 5 years of work experience in GMP manufacturing, with expertise in automation and a broad understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and regulatory environments.
* Proficiency in automation solutions (Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.), knowledge of industry standards (GAMP, ANSI/ISA, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11), and GxP/QA.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
* Ability to work in a team-based culture, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating with Global Automation to implement best practices.
* Contribute to the innovation roadmap and strategic planning, mentoring and training team members to enhance site expertise.
* High communication skills, an analytical mindset, and a strong ability to work independently.
