Your new role
Working on a Hybrid basis with 2 to 3 days in the office, this position is non-auditory and involves reporting to an experienced Manager who has an open-door policy. I have known the Manager for more than 15 years, and they are professional, pleasant-mannered and highly regarded as a mentor.
You will work very closely with clients, not just producing sets of accounts, but working almost as their in-house accountant, you get to understand their financial position and performance, and offer analysis to ensure they are compliant with accounting and tax regulations. You will get the chance to excel in a dynamic team environment and provide top-tier client services.
1. Preparing management accounts, VAT returns (including VAT, VIES, and Intrastat Returns), statutory financial statements, reconciliations, bookkeeping projects, secondment roles, forecasting, budgeting, and other departmental projects.
2. Planning, scheduling, and overseeing client projects to ensure compliance with deadlines.
3. Managing a varied client portfolio.
4. Deliver high-quality services within expected timeframes and budgets.
5. Applying technical expertise and a thorough understanding of accounting standards, particularly FRS 102.
6. Coordinating with external stakeholders, including auditors, during the year-end audit process for individual clients.
7. Building strong relationships with client representatives.
8. Managing client service delivery expectations.
9. Promoting an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment and mentoring junior team members within the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a qualified accountant ACA, Chartered, CPA, ACCA with experience of working in an Irish-based Accounting Practice.
