Purpose of the role
The Qualified Dental Nurse plays a key role in ensuring clinical excellence and seamless patient care. This role is central to maintaining high standards in infection control, chairside assistance, and supporting a dynamic team of dentists across multiple specialties.
Responsibilities
* Provide chairside assistance across various dental specialties (general, surgical, prosthodontics, etc.).
* Maintain strict crossinfection control protocols and clinical hygiene standards.
* Rotate and collaborate with multiple dentists, adapting to different workflows and needs.
* Support the setup and organization of surgeries and dental materials.
* Use digital systems and dental software (transitioning from Exact to Dentally).
* Participate in a structured onboarding and training process, with opportunities to mentor new nurses.
Requirements
Education
* Qualified Dental Nurse certification is required.
Experience
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical dental environment.
* Experience in busy or multispecialty dental practices preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
* Familiarity with dental materials and surgery setup.
* Knowledge of dental software (Exact, with transition to Dentally).
* Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
* Ability to manage flexible shifts (rotating mornings and evenings, occasional weekends).

* Location: Dame Street Dental, Dublin 2, Co. Dublin, D02 EF64, Ireland.
* Visa: Stamp 2 visa holders can only work up to 20 hours/week (not suitable for fulltime roles).
