This is a permanent role offering long-term career progression, exposure to high-value projects, and a supportive, design-led working environment.Working as part of a collaborative M&E team, you will play a central role in developing electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, education, and data centre projects.
The position offers excellent opportunities to expand into senior or chartered engineering roles within a forward-thinking consultancy.Key Responsibilities:* Design and develop electrical building services systems including LV distribution, lighting, fire alarm, data, and power systems* Produce detailed design documentation, including specifications, schematics, layouts, and calculations* Collaborate with mechanical and sustainability teams to deliver fully coordinated MEP designs* Engage with clients, contractors, and design team members to ensure projects meet technical and regulatory requirements* Assist in the development of energy-efficient and cost-effective electrical solutions* Conduct site visits, support installation reviews, and attend coordination meetings* Contribute to the development of internal design standards and participate in QA reviewsCandidate Requirements:* Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering* Minimum 3+ years' experience in electrical design within a consultancy or design & build contractor* Proficient in Auto CAD, Dialux/Relux, and electrical calculation tools; Revit MEP experience is an advantage* Knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, IS standards, and CIBSE guidelines* Strong technical understanding of power distribution, lighting, and building services coordination* Excellent communication and teamworking xsokbrc skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset* Progress toward or interest in achieving Chartered Engineer status (CEng) is encouraged and supportedWhat's on Offer:* €50,000 – €60,000 depending on experience and qualifications* Flexible, hybrid working model based out of a central Dublin office* Access to structured career development and chartership mentorship* Ongoing CPD, training in emerging technologies (e.g., BIM, energy modelling)* Opportunity to work on landmark commercial and data centre projects across Ireland and the EU
