We are looking for an Mechanical Project Manager to join our team in Limerick. The successful Mechanical Project Manager will be a self -starter, well organised with strong management skills who can anticipate issues and develop appropriate contingency measures.
Responsibilities
* Control all aspects of selected projects including planning, budgeting, and scheduling of projects from conception to completion.
* Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure that all projects meet client specifications and are delivered on time and within budget.
* Employing systems to track and monitor project progress and ensuring that all of the project team are compliant with these systems.
* Ensuring that all disciplines of the project team are working effectively and the ability to resolve issues in each department as they arise (BIM/Engineering/QA/Procurement)
* Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, and negotiate contracts and agreements as needed.
* Manage the financial aspects of each project, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Ensure that all work complies with relevant legislation, codes, and standards, including health and safety regulations.
* Ensure structures are put in place to monitor, review and control the budgeted or agreed expenditure.
* Implement cost and value procedures and ensure that all necessary commercial reports are produced accurately and in a timely fashion to Senior Management.
* Work closely with the Directors and Site Managers to support and recommend strategies, to identify any potential risks or issues and to find an appropriate resolution.
* Issue weekly progress reports to the client and engineering manager.
* Issue monthly progress reports for Senior Management/Directors.
* Work collaboratively with Senior Management / Directors to continue to achieve business needs.
* Foster productive, collaborative partnerships with internal and external Clients.
Requirements
o A mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
o 5+ years of experience as a Project / Contracts Manager in the Mechanical HVAC industry with a background as a project engineer for 5+ years.
o Knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC and Process systems, including their design, installation, and operation.
o Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
