This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated hospitality and leisure professional to take full ownership of a thriving leisure operation catering to both hotel guests and an established membership base.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day and strategic management of the leisure centre, ensuring the highest standards in service delivery, safety, and commercial performance.
This role would suit a commercially aware leader who is passionate about team development, operational excellence, and delivering an outstanding member and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all aspects of leisure centre operations
* Manage, mentor and develop a multi-disciplinary leisure team
* Ensure strict adherence to health & safety legislation and best practice
* Monitor and control budgets, payroll, and departmental expenditure
* Implement strategies to increase membership sales and improve retention
* Oversee pool plant management and scheduled maintenance programmes
* Maintain exceptional service standards across all areas
* Coordinate and manage inspections, audits, and compliance requirements
* Collaborate with senior hotel management on business planning and growth initiatives
Candidate Profile
* 3+ years' management experience within a busy leisure club or hotel environment
* Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams
* Pool Plant Operations qualification essential
* Valid Lifeguard certification (RLSS NPLQ or equivalent)
* Occupational First Aid qualification
* Strong knowledge of compliance, risk management, and operational procedures
* Highly organised with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
