We produce and stream c.
40 GAA Championship games each year exclusively, plus magazine and other non-match content.
Overseas viewers can additionally access streams of games broadcast in Ireland by RT, TG4 and BBC.
The role Based in the GAA+ offices and studio in Croke Park Stadium, the successful applicant will be a key part of the core GAA+ team.
As the companys in house live operations expert, you will be responsible for the efficient running of our matchday production hub, ensuring that all streaming output is to the highest standard.
You will also assist with the production of non-match content.
Primary responsibilities include: Run the GAA+ matchday hub (feed acquisition/mapping, pre-checks, output supervision, quality monitoring, partner communications, troubleshooting) Drive ongoing improvement of GAA+ matchday processes and delivery workflows - internal & supplier side Own the smooth operation, maintenance & matchday use of all GAA+ streaming equipment Train and supervise temporary matchday operations staff (live stream output & live clipping) Secondary responsibilities include: Assist with the production of non-live content being produced in the in-house GAA+ studio Assist with planning & budgeting for the live matchday operation Essential Criteria: 5+ years of experience working in a related environment: MCR, outside broadcast unit, production hub or similar Strong understanding of live content production and delivery workflows and best practices (from planning to screen) Excellent attention to detail, real-time decision-making and troubleshooting / problem solving skills Hands-on experience with video distribution equipment and technologies, particularly distribution over IP Demonstrable calmness and strong interpersonal skills, even under pressure Desirable Criteria: Prior experience of designing, implementing and improving runbook processes A working knowledge of Haivision equipment and/or the SRT protocol An understanding of remote production and cloud-based studio software Hands-on video production skills (studio technology, vision and audio mixing, video editing, live clipping, etc.) Experience leading / supervising teams A knowledge of sport, particularly Gaelic Games To apply Candidates interested in the above role can apply by submitting an up-to-date cover letter and CV to this advertisement on or before 3PM on Friday the 5th of December.
