Role Overview As a Senior Grade Social Worker, you will take a leading role in providing a comprehensive range of social work services to children and young people (0–18 years) and their families.
Working within a dynamic interdisciplinary framework, you will deliver expert assessments and interventions through a family-centred approach.
This senior position involves clinical leadership, service development, and the supervision and mentoring of staff grade social workers and students.
Your work will span various settings, including clinics, schools, homes, and the community.
Key Responsibilities Plan and manage a caseload, providing assessments and interventions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to staff grade social workers and students.
Take a lead role in service planning, innovation, and development within the social work discipline.
Delegate tasks appropriately and support the professional development of junior staff members.
Work collaboratively with families and other agencies, including TUSLA and CAMHS, to ensure integrated care.
Represent the social work discipline at internal and external meetings.
Act as a mandated person under the Children First National Guidelines, upholding the highest standards of professional and ethical practice.
