Our client is an International Retail Group who are looking for an experienced finance professional to join their Dublin based team on a permanent basis.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will play a crucial role in the maintaining the accuracy, integrity and safeguarding of all inventory for the Irish business.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role will be sitting in the Dublin office and will include a broad range of financial accounting responsibilities with a specific focus on Inventory.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
* Implementation and roll-out of a new inventory control system;
* Preparation of the monthly inventory analysis packs, outlining inventory movements, obsolescence and overheads;
* Business partnering with operational departments (sales, distribution and procurement teams) to ensure accurate reporting of all inventory movements;
* Liaise with senior management to assist in the budgeting and forecasting of inventory items;
* Address external and internal audit queries as they arise;
* On-going process improvement and ad-hoc projects as they arise.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
* Experience of working in inventory control, inventory auditing, or financial analysis of inventory;
* Prior Retail/FMCG industry experience preferred;
* Excellent communication and organisational skills;
* Full driving license is required;
* Self-starter who is motivated, innovative and ambitious;
* Solid working knowledge of Excel.
