Job Purpose
The Inside Sales Representative will support revenue growth within the Laboratory Division by managing existing customer accounts, generating new sales opportunities, and providing high-quality commercial and technical support to laboratory customers. The role will work closely with field sales, customer service, and technical teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
* Manage and grow a portfolio of existing laboratory customers through proactive account management
* Identify and qualify new sales opportunities within the lab and diagnostics market
* Promote laboratory consumables, reagents, equipment, and associated services
* Prepare and follow up on quotations, tenders, and pricing proposals
* Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs
Customer Engagement
* Act as a key point of contact for laboratory customers via phone, email, and virtual meetings
* Build strong, long-term customer relationships based on trust and product knowledge
* Respond promptly to customer enquiries, product questions, and pricing requests
* Coordinate with field sales representatives to support larger or complex opportunities
Product & Market Knowledge
* Develop strong knowledge of the company's laboratory product portfolio
* Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
* Support product launches, promotions, and campaigns within the lab division
Internal Collaboration & Administration
* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities in the CRM system
* Liaise with logistics, finance, and technical support teams to ensure smooth order processing
* Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and relevant medical / regulatory standards
Key Requirements
Experience
* Previous experience in
inside sales, customer service, or sales support
(medical, laboratory, life sciences, or technical sales experience is highly desirable)
* Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
* Exposure to laboratory environments or lab products is an advantage

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Excellent organisation and time-management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
* Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Comfortable working in a target-driven environment
Education
* Third-level qualification in
Science, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field
is desirable but not essential
