Senior Transport Planner Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join our team in Cork, Ireland. As a key member of our transportation planning team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of various projects, including active travel, public transport, greenways, and transport strategies.
Your Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of projects from feasibility through planning stages.
* Share knowledge with colleagues and deliver schemes with public and private sector clients.
* Manage the technical delivery of more junior colleagues.
* Deal directly with clients on project delivery.
* Support the Project Manager in the technical and financial delivery of projects.
What We Are Looking For:
* A relevant third-level qualification (Level 8 or higher).
* Experience of transport planning in Ireland, including relevant policy and delivery of ABTAs or similar Local Transport Plans.
* Good knowledge of transport policy and guidance in Ireland.
* High-quality report writing skills and verbal communication in English.
* Client, stakeholder, and public consultation experience.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
* Ability to use initiative and have excellent problem-solving capabilities.
* Working towards relevant chartership status.
* Working knowledge of the application of GIS.
* Working knowledge of relevant design guidance, including DMURS and National Cycle Manual.
* Ability to comply with Quality Assurance Management Systems.
