About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join our Civil and Structural Team in Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering design and analysis, with experience working on complex projects involving power plants, HV substations, and HV cable systems.
* Technical Expertise:
* Advanced understanding of structural engineering principles, including load-bearing capacity, material properties, and design codes (e.g., Eurocodes, ASCE).
* Proficiency in structural analysis software, such as SAP2000, ETABS, or similar.
* Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies and their application to improve project visualization, coordination, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop structural engineering solutions for complex projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs seamlessly, resolving conflicts and optimizing project outcomes.
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables, communicating technical information effectively.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Professional Engineer (PE) License: An advantage but not mandatory.
* Experience: Relevant experience in structural engineering, with energy project experience beneficial for this role.
