Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting cost estimates and preparing tender documents for steel fabrication projects.
* Collaborating with project managers and engineers to develop accurate project budgets.
* Evaluating subcontractor quotations and negotiating favourable terms.
* Monitoring project costs and implementing cost control measures.
* Performing cost analysis and producing detailed reports for stakeholders.
* Managing variations and assessing the financial impact on projects.
* Liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve any commercial issues.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the steel fabrication industry.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project management tools.
* Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
