Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Full Time)
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to excel in the field of automation at Speedeck. With a proven track record of providing innovative and flexible solutions, we are looking for someone who can work on challenging projects within a highly technical and collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of automated equipment, working closely with our design team to develop innovative concepts from customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop innovative designs that meet customer requirements, utilizing 3D CAD applications such as SolidWorks.
* Design and implement automated equipment, including mechanisms, transfer systems, servo systems, robotics, pneumatics, electrical equipment, and machine guarding systems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage large projects and ensure designs meet performance specifications.
* Liaise with suppliers for component procurement and prepare detailed safety risk assessments and FMEAs.
* Prepare detailed tooling drawings and pneumatic schematics, developing machine documentation to meet EU standards.
Requirements:
* Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Minimum 4 years relevant experience, including involvement in significant automation projects and extensive experience in machine design roles.
* Strong experience using 3D CAD applications, excellent communication skills, and ability to take ownership and responsibility for project milestones and timelines.
* Demonstrate ability to take initiative, be innovative, and problem solve effectively.
