Commercial ManagerBracetown, Dublin 15.This is a Senior Management role reporting to the Managing Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Business Development department and will be part of the leadership team with responsibility for strategic planning and managing cross-departmental affairs.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Define a business development strategy in conjunction with the leadership team that will generate new business based on the current market.Manage the Business Development department to ensure efficient and proactive sales strategy.Implement a sales focus within the existing team and management of how sales leads are identified and followed through to the end of the sales process.Provide coaching & guidance to the team on managing sales and identify training needs to enable the team to become more sales focused, while still retaining a focus on the fact that we adopt a people oriented and operational focused approach to business development.Provide oversight to running multi country tenders.Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes, ensuring streamlined operations and optimal use of resources.Identify and build a long-term active pipeline, exploring both existing markets and targeting new market opportunities.Keep up to date with industry developments, maintaining awareness of competitor and client activity and market trends.Develop relationships with FM clients & key clients and maintain ongoing contact to optimize the relationship for the company.Maintain excellent relationships and after-sales support to build mutual confidence in line with the agreed business strategy.Identify unacceptable terms and conditions and negotiate contracts with clients.Drive the necessary input required from your department for systems implementations and other projects that arise.Develop a positive interdepartmental relationship between your department and other departments in the Company.Manage your department with a balance between their objectives and needs, and the overall objectives of the Company.Plan the future needs and strategy of your departments based on the latest position of the respective departments combined with internal plans, growth forecasts and external factors such as economic situation.Work with the Leadership Team to devise and implement the strategic goals of the business.Person Requirements:5+ years experience in a service delivery sector, with a keen focus on operational excellence.Experience in a similar management role and ability to work effectively within a senior management capacity.Focus on excellent service standards, excellent customer focus and attention to detail in the service delivery space.Ability to foster excellent relationships among your employees and other internal stakeholders and departments.Ability to engage with senior level clients and a proven track record in this regard is considered essential for this role.Highly competent in preparing detailed costings & pricing for new business with an ability to manage complex cost sheets.Commercially-minded with deep knowledge of the facilities services market and an ability to see opportunities & gaps in the market and to develop opportunities.Excellent computer skills and highly competent in using Office 365 suite of products.Highly effective communicator and ability to influence conversations and negotiate internally & externally. Approaches difficult conversations with a calm and dispassionate demeanour.Confident in presenting to a challenging client audience and ability to adapt and respond to challenges in this setting.Ability to prove long term right to work in Ireland.Previous experience in working within an international group would be an advantage.Must hold Full Clean B LicenceOther Features of the JobPlease note this post will require some flexibility within working hours and will involve occasional travel within Europe.Car parking on site
