Job Description:
The position of Operational Site Manager - Mechanical Services involves overseeing the day-to-day management of onsite operations and productivity. Key responsibilities include oversight of subcontractors and direct labor to ensure compliance with safety standards, installation quality, and project timelines.
* Support Project Engineers in preparing and delivering Quality Assurance documentation in line with project milestones.
* Manage site office and stores, including QDSM signage and housekeeping standards throughout the duration of the project.
* Assist Contracts Manager in developing and executing the project programme.
* Address payroll-related queries regarding timesheets for site personnel.
* Coordinate mechanical services and builders' works drawings.
* Order materials and confirm plant delivery schedules to align with the project programme.
* Ensure all delivery dockets are signed and submitted to Procurement in a timely manner.
* Identify and report site variations to the Contracts Manager; assist with documenting variation works.
* Attend regular site meetings and weekly whiteboard coordination meetings.
* Ensure all installations meet QDSM standards.
* Manage commissioning and testing phases for all mechanical services.
* Effectively manage site decant and project close-out procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in site management within the HVAC or mechanical services sector.
* A trade qualification in plumbing or similar mechanical discipline is desirable.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* A self-motivated team player with a drive for quality, safety, and timely project delivery.
