Job Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our Psychiatry Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, biopsychosocial informed care to patients with mental disorder residing in our Approved Centre in Cork.
The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills using a biopsychosocial perspective and extensive medical knowledge. You will also possess strong leadership and management skills, enabling you to effectively manage your time, workload, and prioritize clinical work.

The successful candidate will be familiar with and adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining the highest level of infection control standards as directed by company policy and national best practice guidance. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing business strategies to assist the centre to realize business goals, overseeing compliance with legal policies, guidelines, and standards, and ensuring all departments have sufficient and qualified personnel.
Main Responsibilities include taking clinical responsibility for patients residing in Nua's Approved Centre, contributing to clinical governance for the services provided at both Approved Centres when covering annual leave, and contributing to the development of service strategy as required.
Skills Requirement: Full Registration (general and specialist) with the Irish Medical Council, Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management, Evidence of achievement in education, research, audit and service improvement, Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area, Leadership and Senior management experience within a large organisation in either the public or private sector, Experienced in producing high quality documentation and reports preferably at Board Level, Experience of psychiatric practice in a range of settings (preferably both ID and Forensic settings), Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Ability to take a leadership role in various multidisciplinary team(s), ensuring high quality care, Ability to manage own time, workload and prioritise clinical work, Ability to appraise own performance as a Senior Leader and Consultant.
