Job Summary:
Griffith College Cork is seeking an enthusiastic and committed
Accounting and Finance Lecturer
to join our academic team on a full-time basis.
This role involves delivering high-quality teaching across both day and evening programmes, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting student success.
The successful candidate will hold a Level 9 qualification (or higher) in a relevant discipline and will bring academic expertise and/or professional industry experience to inspire and engage our learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops in Accounting, Finance, and Business across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Design and develop innovative teaching materials, learning activities, and assessments in line with academic and industry best practice.
Assess student work within QA-approved guidelines, providing constructive feedback to support learning and progression.
Actively contribute to curriculum development, ensuring alignment with professional body standards (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
Provide academic mentorship and pastoral support to students, helping them achieve their educational and professional goals.
Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals to integrate real-world perspectives into the classroom.
Participate fully in departmental meetings, academic reviews, programme administration, and quality enhancement initiatives.
Minimum Education/ Experience Requirements:
Level 9 qualification (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Proven teaching ability and/or professional experience in accounting, finance, or business.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and IT skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain academic and professional standards.
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and digital learning tools.
