Job Description:
To perform maintenance, diagnostics and repair work on vehicles ensuring optimal performance, safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical faults in vehicles
Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
Replace or repair worn or defective parts using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used and time spent.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
Stay updated with technical developments and manufacturer guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent (or relevant trade certification).
Proven experience as a mechanic in (automotive/heavy machinery/industrial/aviation) sector.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.
Capable of standing, bending and working on vehicles
Desirable Attributes
NCT knowledge
Welding or fabrication skills.
Electrical systems knowledge.
Commitment to continuous learning and development.
