Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and the CFO, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the company`s financial data and maintaining a rigorous compliance framework. You will play a key role in the monthly reporting cycle and act as a primary point of contact for tax and audit matters.Key ResponsibilitiesTax Compliance & Reporting: Manage the preparation and timely filing of all tax returns, with a specific focus on VAT, Corporation Tax (CT), and Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT). Ensure full compliance with property-related tax legislation.Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L analysis and comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations for group entities.Audit & Internal Controls: Lead the coordination of year-end audits and internal audit reviews. Proactively implement corrective actions to strengthen the internal control environment.Operational Oversight: Oversee weekly bank reconciliations and income audits to ensure robust cash flow management.Commercial Insight: Support the budget and forecasting processes. Provide the CFO and senior management with commercial insights and drive cost-control initiatives across various residential projects.Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior finance team members and graduates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.RequirementsQualification: Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) currently pursuing professional exams, with at least 2-3 years of industry accounting experience.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/FRS 102) and a keen interest in Irish tax law.Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced finance environment. While a background in residential construction or property is an advantage, we welcome candidates from diverse sectors (e.g., hospitality or professional services) who possess strong transferable skills.Skills: Exceptional analytical ability, high attention to detail, and the communication skills necessary to interact with stakeholders at all levels.Drive: A self-starter who takes initiative and is eager to improve existing processes.
