Are you a Senior Psychologist looking to work in a recovery-oriented inpatient setting? We are currently recruiting for a Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join the Adult Mental Health Services based inRoscommon.
This role offers the chance to deliver impactful, evidence-based psychological care within a highly collaborative and well-supported multidisciplinary team.
The Role
Location: Roscommon University Hospital (HSE West & North West).
Contract: 12-month fixed term (possibility of extension built into the service plan).
Setting: Adult Mental Health Services (Inpatient).
You will provide individual and group psychological interventions as a core part of a multidisciplinary recovery-oriented care plan. Your expertise will guide integrated care for adults with acute or enduring mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence: Deliver psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions to service users.
Collaboration: Work as an integral member of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to provide recovery-focused care.
Leadership: Offer supervision, guidance, and support to trainee and staff-grade psychologists.
Service Growth: Contribute to clinical audits, research, and service evaluations to inform development.
Consultation: Provide professional training and consultation to other healthcare professionals within the hospital.
Requirements
Qualification: A recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
Eligibility: Must meet the standard HSE employment criteria for Adult Psychology services.
Experience: Relevant clinical experience within mental health or related settings.
Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical formulation skills.
Values: A strong commitment to evidence-based practice and recovery-oriented models of care.
