Cpl is delighted to partner with a long-standing, well-established luxury confectionery producer in Co. Meath. Due to continued business growth, they require an experienced Maintenance or Automation Technician for their production facility.
The role is full-time, working 40 hours per week, with the following shift pattern:
You will work four 10-hour shifts per week, rotating on a three-week cycle as follows:
1. Week 1: Monday – Thursday, 06:00 - 16:30 (days)
2. Week 2: Tuesday – Friday, 06:00 – 16:30 (days)
3. Week 3: Monday – Thursday, 22:20 – 03:00 (nights)
Shift premiums are paid as follows: 12.5% from 4:30 pm to 12 am, and 25% from midnight to 3 am.
Maintenance Technician Job Description:
* You will troubleshoot and repair equipment and electrical system issues in a timely and effective manner.
* You will perform corrective and preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control systems.
* You will provide electrical utilities and engineering services in a busy high-speed manufacturing environment.
* You will utilize data reports on equipment and systems to generate improvement initiatives.
* You will monitor machine output during shifts to ensure all cells meet cycle time and specific OEE targets.
* You will manage spares requirements in the Engineering Stores.
* You will prepare for and execute line changeovers according to the production schedule.
* You will maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.
* You will liaise with the operations team to plan maintenance work.
* You will ensure maintenance is carried out efficiently, effectively, and safely, following the maintenance strategy, and perform planned work responsibly.
Required Key Skills:
* Minimum of 2+ years proven electrical or mechanical experience in high-volume manufacturing.
* Experience with conveyors, depositors, wrapping machines, weighing machines.
* Ability to troubleshoot and repair damaged or poor-performing equipment.
* Assist in compiling and presenting technical feedback on engineering performance related to yield, downtime, and productivity improvements.
* Knowledge of CMMS systems is an advantage.
* Excellent technical and fault-finding skills.
* Understanding of Preventive Maintenance Systems.
* Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order systems.
* Experience working on high-volume processing or utility equipment.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to lead maintenance issues and work independently or as part of a team.
* Experience with Permit to Work systems.
* Adaptability to changing circumstances and priorities.
* A proven track record in your current role is essential.
* Candidates with both electrical and mechanical skills will have a distinct advantage.
