Staff Digital Design Engineer
Principal (Lead) Digital Design Engineer role in the Precision Signal Chain Group, responsible for designing state‑of‑the‑art precision converter products with significant digital content. The role spans the entire product development cycle from concept through design, verification, implementation, and release to customers, and offers opportunities for collaboration across technical teams.
Responsibilities
RTL design and implementation using Verilog/SystemVerilog for digital blocks, subsystems, and top‑level designs.
Define and develop system‑level architectures for complex digital designs.
Lead technical teams on complex digital design projects.
Collaborate across functions to drive innovative solutions.
Engage directly with customers on technical requirements and solutions.
Mentor engineers and help develop technical talent.
Write detailed block and subsystem specifications.
Perform block‑ and top‑level linting, CDC analysis, power analysis, synthesis constraints, and timing closure.
Coordinate mixed‑signal integration, support simulations and modeling across analog/digital boundaries.
Prepare technical documentation and lead architecture, design, and peer reviews.
Support silicon bring‑up, characterization, and debug activities.
Collaborate with analog, digital, verification, test, and product definition teams for requirements, production test, and product execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
8‑12 years of relevant experience in digital design engineering.
Strong hands‑on RTL coding and debugging skills.
Knowledge of data filter/processing digital design, MATLAB experience beneficial.
FPGA prototyping experience beneficial.
Experience with SoC solutions, processors (ARM preferred), and bus fabric protocols (AHB, AXI, etc.).
Knowledge of digital interfaces (SPI, I2C, SPMI, I3C, UART, etc.).
Knowledge of UVM beneficial.
Experience mentoring junior engineers.
Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Job Req Type: Experienced. Required travel: 10% of the time. Shift type: 1st Shift/Days.
