**Job Title:** Senior Pharmacist
The position of Senior Pharmacist at St. Patricks Mental Health Services is a critical role that plays a significant part in ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines.
We are seeking an experienced pharmacist with clinical knowledge to join our team as a member of the pharmacy department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience as a hospital-based pharmacist, preferably in mental health.
Responsibilities
* Assisting in the development and provision of clinical pharmacy services in accordance with hospital and PSI guidelines.
* Supervising and supplying drugs, pharmaceuticals, and related items while maintaining high standards of quality control.
* Providing expert advice on medication use to medical and nursing staff, contributing to patient care and outcomes.
* Maintaining records and adherence to legal requirements, including purchasing, storage, and supply of pharmaceuticals.
* Participating in multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) and fostering open communication within the department and hospital-wide.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
* A degree or higher qualification in pharmacy.
* Clinical experience in mental health organizations.
* A Postgraduate Qualification in Clinical or Hospital Pharmacy is desirable.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time, specified purpose contract with a standard working week of 35 hours. The successful candidate will be appointed in a probationary capacity for six months.
