Excellent opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a leading logistics and supply chain organisation based in Dublin 1 on a full-time, six-month contract.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three year's industry experience, ideally gained within a large organisation. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager and working as part of a team of six, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in the success of the finance function.
Based in Dublin 1, with hybrid working and on-site parking available. Initially a 6-month contract, with potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the month-end close process for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and delivering insightful variance analysis with clear commentary against budget and forecasts.
* Take ownership of preparing the annual budgets for assigned entities, providing robust financial planning and input.
* Lead, mentor, and support the Finance Accounts Assistant to drive efficiency and accuracy within the team.
* Coordinate and deliver statutory reporting requirements, including the preparation of statutory accounts and managing both Group and external audits.
* Assist with corporation tax compliance by preparing calculations, returns, and related reporting across all entities.
* Monitor and manage cash flow, producing reliable cash forecasts for Ireland and EMEA while supporting treasury operations.
Key Requirements
* Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA)
* 3-5 Years Post Qualification Experience within a large organisation
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong Excel Skills
* Prior experience with SAP or Oracle is advantageous, though not essential.
