This role provides structured exposure to real-world manufacturing challenges and offers strong development opportunities within a growing engineering organisation.Key Responsibilities:Manufacturing & Process EngineeringAssist in the development, documentation, and improvement of manufacturing processes and work instructionsSupport process validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ where applicableParticipate in time studies, capacity analysis, and process optimisation initiativesSupport introduction of new products (NPI) from design transfer through to full productionQuality & ComplianceWork in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and customer-specific requirementsAssist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Support internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections as requiredAssist with control of manufacturing documentation, routings, and change management.Continuous ImprovementParticipate in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projectsAssist with waste reduction, efficiency improvements, and standardisation initiativesSupport data collection and analysis to drive evidence-based decision-makingCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teamsSupport operators with technical queries and process troubleshootingLiaise with suppliers on tooling, fixtures, and process-related issuesHealth, Safety & EnvironmentComply with all Health & Safety requirements and support safe working practicesAssist with risk assessments and implementation of safe manufacturing methodsEducation & Experience:EssentialBachelor's Degree (Level 8) in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related disciplineStrong interest in manufacturing and regulated engineering environmentsGood understanding of engineering drawings and basic GD&TCompetent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)DesirableRelevant internship, placement, or project experience in manufacturingFamiliarity with Lean manufacturing principlesBasic understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100)Exposure to CNC machining, assembly, or precision manufacturing environmentsKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood organisational skills and attention to detailClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work well in a team-based environmentProactive attitude with a willingness to learnAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesDevelopment & ProgressionThis role offers structured on-the-job training, mentorship from experienced engineers, and exposure to high-value sectors.
