This is your chance to make alasting, real-world impacton the lives of children with complex needs within a supportive, collaborative, and evidence-based environment.Excel Recruitment are excited to be recruiting aStaff Grade Clinical Psychologiston behalf of a Child Primary Care Team in Dun Laoghaire.This Primary Care team is at the heart of early intervention, delivering compassionate, evidence-based psychological supports to children and young people in a warm, inclusive, and family-centred environment.A Staff grade Psychologistvacancy has arisen on a pilot project team in Dublin South Child and Adolescent primary care.This job involves working as part of a Level 2 Enhanced Multidisciplinary team working with children with complex needs and in the wider network areas to support MDT working.This enhanced MDT consists of Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work and a project co-ordinator.These include: working with parents and young people through MDT consultation clinics, integrated MDT assessment, formulation and intervention services.The project is also delivering on a new program of universal and targeted parent education and support resources, staff upskilling, the development of some new primary care clinical service pathways, integrated database development, integrated routine audit and service evaluation and an area wide model of enhanced multi-disciplinary working.Key Responsibilities:Provide psychological assessments and therapeutic support to children presenting with a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental concerns (e.g. anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum conditions).Develop evidence-informed, child-centred treatment plans in collaboration with children, families, and MDT colleagues.Deliver individual and group-based psychological interventions as appropriate.Engage in collaborative goal setting, therapeutic planning, and case formulation.Provide consultation and support to parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the child's care.Participate in service development, quality initiatives, and continuous professional improvement.Eligibility Criteria:Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology and/or Chartered Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist through PSI.Candidates qualified overseas must provide evidence of validation by the Department of Health at the time of application.Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland.Demonstrable knowledge of a range of Psychological assessment and therapeutic modelsExperience delivering psychological interventions to children and familiesExcellent clinical assessment, formulation, and therapeutic planning skillsExcellent Communication and Interpersonal skills.Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.Full driver's license and access to a car.What to expect:Competitive HSE salary in line with Psychologists experience.35 hour work week, Monday–FridayStructured clinical supervision and professional developmentSupportive Multidisciplinary team environmentFlexible work arrangements where possibleWhat you need to do now:For more information about this exciting opportunity, please contact Charlene Cooke confidentially via email at or by phone
