We see experienced and proactive Construction Engineer, who will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of structural works on a major infrastructure construction project at Dublin Airport. Working under the direction of the Site Agent, the role will ensure that all structural activities are executed safely, in accordance with drawings, specifications, programme requirements, and airport operational constraints.Role ResponsibilitySet out and oversee the construction of structural elements, including reinforced concrete, foundations, steelwork, and associated worksEnsure work is carried out in accordance with contract drawings, specifications, and technical standardsResolve technical issues on site in coordination with the design and commercial teamsImplement and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for structural worksCarry out site inspections, checks, and surveys, ensuring accurate as-built recordsEnsure compliance with project HSEQ requirements, site safety rules, and airport regulationsSupport safety audits, toolbox talks, and site briefingsMaintain high standards of housekeeping in structural work areasAssist the Site Agent in managing the programme of structural worksCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and plant operations to meet programme targetsLiaise with other disciplines (civils, M&E, architectural) to ensure integrated deliveryIdentify potential constraints and support mitigation measuresMaintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress records, and technical queriesPrepare and close out RFIs, technical submittals, and as-built documentationProvide regular progress updates to the Site Agent StructuresSupport handover documentation and project close-out activitiesEssential CriteriaDegree in Civil Engineering or Structural EngineeringStrong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structuresExperience working on large infrastructure or complex construction projectAbility to read, interpret, and implement structural drawings and specificationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityEffective communication skills with site teams, subcontractors, and managementDESIRABLE CRITERIAExperience on airport, aviation, or high-security live environmentsRelevant Safe Pass and airport security clearancesWorking towards Chartered Engineer (CEng / CEng MIEI) statusIf you are interested in, please send your updated profile toPlease note, you must be eligible to undertake full time job in Ireland with no further restriction to be considered for the role.Skillsstructures setting out technical drawingsBenefitsFlexitime Pension Negotiable
