Systems Architect SOC – Sensors, Cork
General Summary
The Chip Architecture multi-site team of hardware, software architects and systems engineers are driving analysis and defining next-generation architectures for our
system-on-chip (SoC)
products for the smartphone, tablet, connected camera, wearable, IoT, Automotive and other product categories.
The client are looking for expertise in some of the following areas: Digital
SoC
systems, CPU, DSP, GPU,
Machine Learning
, Multimedia, Compute, Performance and Power.
Please note this role will require 5 days per week onsite in the Cork office
Experience required includes
A Degree in Computer Science or a Masters Degree or a PhD degree
SOC Architecture experience with system design experience involving
embedded software on a large scale SoC systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding critical thinking skills, ability to ask probing questions and desire for continuous learning
Ability to develop and improve methodologies for experiments and analysis in the specific area of expertise
Description
You will engage collaboratively across the company with core Hardware design & verification, Software, Marketing and product planning teams to
architect market-leading SoC solutions
with best-in-class performance and power.
You will drive efforts to develop and prototype new system solutions and approaches.
These products will empower customers with a new class of powerful emerging workloads like augmented reality, virtual reality, machine learning, automotive, and IoT.
These products will empower customers with a new class of powerful emerging workloads like that involve machine learning & AI models to support smart context solutions across various technologies like smartphones, IoT, wearables & automotive.
Possible Assignments
Architect market-leading smartphone, tablet, connected camera, wearable, IoT, Automotive and other SoC products with best-in-class performance and power
Collaborate with HW and SW teams to define best-in-class multimedia, modem, compute and memory technologies.
Deploy simulators, profilers, or even real hardware to provide quantitative justification for architectural directions.
Directly apply computer architecture knowledge of CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, cache coherency, virtual memory, etc.
Invent and file patents on technical solutions to relevant problems.
Collaborate within a rapidly growing and world-class computer architecture team!

Minimum Qualifications
A Degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
7
+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.
A Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and
4+
years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
A Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and
3+
years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD
in Science, Engineering, or related field and
2+
years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

Benefits
Salary is up to around €75K- €80k plus excellent benefits.

The role is based in Cork.
Candidates should be located in Cork, or close to Cork as the role is 5 days per week in the office.
