Purpose of the Role
* The Brand Partner Commercial Planning Manager is responsible for profitably growing revenue across a portfolio of Brand Partners, which is vital for Valeo Foods' future success.
* Full P&L ownership and accountability.
* Lead and manage the commercial strategy and planning for the Brand Partners across all customers.
* Collaborate closely with sales, supply, demand planning, marketing, and commercial finance teams to optimize plans and meet brand needs. Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For
Reporting to the Category Director, the ideal candidate will identify and implement commercial strategies that foster mutual growth for the portfolio of Brand Partners and Valeo Foods. They will communicate and align these strategies with the commercial team and ensure full P&L ownership and relationship development within their portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive sales performance against targets, identify risks and gaps, and address them within budget.
* Manage the full P&L for the relevant portfolio.
* Develop annual commercial plans, including growth levers, promotional strategies, and trade spend budgets, and coordinate implementation.
* Negotiate pricing aligned with margin expectations and strategy.
* Set retail prices, customer pricing, promotional strategies, and ensure compliance with finance guidelines.
* Review forecasts, actuals, and budgets regularly.
* Plan and evaluate trade promotions.
* Coordinate with demand planning, supply, and Brand Partners to manage stocks and service levels.
* Build strong relationships with key decision-makers within Brand Partners to develop profitable joint plans.
Qualifications and Skills
* Minimum 5 years of FMCG experience in sales or marketing.
* Third-level qualification in sales, marketing, or related field.
* Deep understanding of the Irish grocery environment.
* Strong analytical, financial, and commercial skills.
* Experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
* Ability to interpret data from multiple sources and draw insights.
* Knowledge of Brand Management, Customer Marketing, Category Management, and Account Management.
* Organized, proactive, and able to plan ahead.
* Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
