Responsible for defining and developing Black Box's AV and KVM products, particularly the Emerald family, within an agile team environment.

Primarily Roles & Responsibilities Participate in feature requirements definition with a team of product managers, developer and testers Develop features specifications and implement detailed design to deliver on defined requirements using Verilog and FPGA design tools Problem isolation and fault finding in embedded system using modern tools and environment Customer issue replication Creating and updating of releases notes.
Work across Development team onsite and offsite to create market leading products across world-wide markets.
Mentor junior engineers on development, code and debugging Skills, Knowledge, Abilities Expert Verilog / System Verilog developer with top class embedded debugging skills Proven experience with AMD / Xilinx FPGA with Vivado / Vitis tool-chains to create implementations and their validation including timing analysis Proven experience with Xilinx /AMD simulator / ModelSim for unit and system level simulations Excellent analytical skills and an ability to cope with ambiguity and change Proven experience in the full FPGA development cycle within a project based environment Able to use debuggers, protocol analyzers and logic analyzers for hardware prototype validation and debug Experience with modern 32bit processors / microcontrollers .
ARM and their toolchains Self-starter with excellent communication and documentation skills and with the ability to work unaided Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Highly Desirable to have (some of the following): Development experience with Embedded Linux Kernel and Device Drivers Experience with video and audio codecs such as MPEG4 and JPEG USB protocols knowledge and expertise Possess a thorough understanding of network protocol stack concepts and architecture such as ethernet, IP and TCP.
Familiarity with protocol development for embedded systems.
Education/Experience Requirements 12+ years of FPGA Development with relevant technologies Bachelor's degree in either engineering, computer science, information systems, or related scientific/technical discipline #J-18808-Ljbffr
