We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineering professional to take responsibility for preparing estimates on a wide range of civil engineering projects in Athenry, Galway
Responsibilities
Review and analyze engineering drawings and project specifications.
Carry out material take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates.
Issue and assess subcontractor and supplier enquiries.
Draft and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts.
Work closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams.
Assess alternative methods, solutions, and value-engineering options.
Contribute to pre- and post-tender meetings and presentations.
About You
Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
At least 10 years' experience in civil engineering construction management.
Proven background in estimating for utilities and infrastructure projects with a main contractor.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering contracts, standards, and legislation.
Excellent analytical, commercial, and technical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of estimating and planning software an advantage.
Ability to work independently under pressure while delivering results.
Full clean Irish/UK/EU driving licence.
Legally entitled to work in Ireland (valid Work Permit / Stamp 4 visa if applicable).
Fluent written and spoken English.
