The main duties and responsibilities of the CAD / REVIT / BIM Technician are outlined as follows:
* Manage the production of multi-discipline coordinated models, drawings and schedules.
* Align design development with the project BIM execution plan, including regular coordination and model checks, and sharing of model data throughout the design team.
* Liaising between Mechanical & Electrical Designers and Civil & Structural Designers.
* Production and maintenance of MIDP throughout the project.
* Participation in drawing/design reviews and facilitation of feasibility studies.
* Liaising with project teams to ascertain project needs and timelines.
* Taking instructions from Engineers and producing drawings with limited supervision or direction.
* Use initiative and knowledge to support the CAD team and grow expertise in the use of CAD software and other tools.
The prior knowledge, skills, and experience required of the CAD / REVIT / BIM Technician are outlined as follows:
* 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a strong trades background coupled with a BIM qualification.
* A minimum of 3+ years' experience within a BIM Co-ordination function.
* Mechanical or Electrical background with a proven track record in a similar role.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
