Job Title: Industrial Manager - NATIONWIDE in Ireland
Job Purpose:
The Industrial Services Manager supports the delivery of high-quality industrial cleaning and property management services across client and accommodation sites. Working closely with senior management, the role ensures that facilities are clean, safe, functional, and compliant with relevant legislation and client standards. This role includes supervision of cleaning and caretaking teams, coordination of maintenance and compliance activities, and proactive engagement with both clients and internal stakeholders to drive operational excellence and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Industrial Cleaning Operations
2. Plan and manage daily industrial cleaning services across multiple client sites.
3. Supervise cleaning teams to maintain high standards and ensure compliance with service contracts.
4. Schedule staff, deploy equipment, and manage cleaning supply logistics efficiently.
5. Conduct regular site inspections and audits, promptly addressing non-compliance or service issues.
6. Train staff on cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and equipment handling.
7. Act as liaison for site supervisors, supporting client communication and resolving issues.
8. Health, Safety & Compliance
9. Ensure all cleaning and property operations adhere to statutory requirements under Irish health and safety legislation (including the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005).
10. Conduct regular safety checks, audits, and walk-throughs across sites.
11. Log and escalate hazards, incidents, and near-misses appropriately.
12. Ensure staff understand and follow risk assessments and safe work procedures.
13. Liaise with sub-contractors.
14. Risk & Performance Management
15. Carry out risk assessments for both industrial and accommodation environments.
16. Document findings, implement control measures, and support continuous improvement.
17. Track operational performance metrics, maintenance resolutions, and service quality indicators.
18. Assist in implementing new technologies and process improvements across facilities.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
* Relevant Health & Safety certifications desirable (e.g. Manual Handling, First Aid, Safe Pass).
* Full driving license required (due to travel between multiple sites).
Experience:
* 2–3 years of experience in industrial cleaning, facilities management, or property operations.
* Supervisory experience managing teams in a contract-based, fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with maintenance coordination, cleaning standards, and health & safety compliance.
Skills & Competencies:
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Effective leadership and people management across dispersed teams.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proficient in MS Office and scheduling/reporting tools.
* Ability to identify risks and resolve issues proactively.
* Knowledge of fire safety and statutory property compliance regulations.
Working Conditions:
* Regular travel between sites is required.
* Flexibility in working hours (including early mornings, evenings, weekends).
* Some physically demanding tasks and work in industrial or emergency accommodation settings.
* Must be comfortable working in potentially hazardous environments and handling compliance-sensitive issues.
Pay:
35,000-40,000 per year depending on experience.
