Job Title: ICT Project Manager (Public Sector Projects)
Location: Hybrid / Wexford (with flexibility for other offices)
Contract Type: Full-time, daily rate contractor
Contract Duration: 3 years (initial), with a maximum of 220 days annually

Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced ICT Project Managers on behalf of a leading public sector agency with a nationwide remit. This is an exciting opportunity for seasoned professionals to join a dynamic and mission-driven organisation, contributing to the delivery of multiple concurrent ICT projects that support digital transformation and operational efficiency.
This role is ideally suited to a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong stakeholder management experience, proven delivery capabilities, and an interest in contributing to impactful public services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end delivery of ICT projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
* Develop comprehensive project plans, incorporating milestones, dependencies, and risk registers
* Manage the implementation of diverse ICT initiatives across a range of functional areas
* Provide regular project reporting, status updates, and risk mitigation strategies
* Ensure clear handover to operations and ICT service teams, including documentation and training
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors
* Maintain compliance with organisational policies, data protection regulations, and industry best practices
* Foster knowledge sharing, mentoring, and skills transfer within the internal project portfolio team
Essential Experience:
* 8+ years of experience in project management roles, ideally within the public sector or similar regulated environments
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent ICT projects (software development, infrastructure, cloud migration, etc.)
* Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working as a proxy product owner
* Experience with Microsoft project ecosystems including Azure DevOps, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft SQL Server
* Proven ability to lead stakeholder engagement and deliver under tight timelines
* Skilled in documentation, reporting, and supporting end-user training initiatives
Desirable:
* Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM)
* Familiarity with environmental, regulatory, or sustainability-focused projects
* Experience working with hybrid cloud technologies and legacy system upgrades
Working Model & Base Location:
* Hybrid working, with occasional in-person attendance required
* The primary base office is Wexford; alternative base offices may be considered
* Travel costs to base office are not reimbursed, but vouched expenses to approved locations are covered
Notes:
* Contractors must be available for up to 220 working days per annum
* This opportunity is offered through a preferred supplier arrangement; you will not be an employee of the end client
* The role requires the ability to work independently while aligning with broader project portfolio goals
