CMM Project Manager
A highly skilled CMM Project Manager is sought to lead engineering operations and provide technical support to production floors.
Responsibilities:
* Contribute to and input into the engineering functional strategy.
* Provide technical support to CMMs when required on production floors.
* Champion operational excellence across sites.
* Plan and conduct engineering research design.
* Plan and conduct significant engineering and lean initiatives.
* Standardize and optimize best practices and procedures across networks.
* Coordinate with other units', vendors, and senior managers as needed to ensure specific cost, time, and regulatory standards are met.
* Communicate with business partners to resolve process and product issues.
* Evaluate project results and provide manufacturing guidance and assistance as required.
* Provide technical leadership to staff engineers, senior engineers, engineers, coop students, technicians, and operators as required.
* Partner with the CI&A team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree or Master's in a relevant engineering or science discipline (manufacturing, mechanical, electronic, production etc.) or technical experience equivalency.
* Minimum of 5 years' manufacturing experience.
* Metrology experience, ideally in Mitutoyo & Zeiss CMMs.
* Knowledge of laser engraving machines.
* Recognized Lean qualification, ideally a black belt.
* Proven project management skills through the delivery of business-critical projects.
* Production process troubleshooting experience required.
* Dynamic 'hands-on' individual prepared to take responsibility.
* Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Capable of technically leading a multi-disciplined team in a dynamic, regulated, and results-motivated environment.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a process improvement orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
* Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrable ability to lead significant projects and initiatives.
* A team player, with a flexible approach.
* Technological expert, willing to source, investigate, and implement technological and automation advances.
* Confident and effective decision-maker, with a proven technical leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.
