Core Responsibilities
* Lead the creation and delivery of electronic designs from initial concept through to full‑scale manufacture.
* Act as a technical authority on electronic systems used in externally powered medical equipment and support both new development initiatives and ongoing product improvements.
* Review technical data, test outcomes, and design documentation to recommend optimal components and engineering approaches.
* Identify opportunities to refine engineering processes and collaborate with cross‑functional colleagues to enhance efficiency and workflow.
* Ensure all activities reflect a strong commitment to patient safety, product reliability, and adherence to internal quality systems.
* Communicate effectively across teams and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders.
* Offer technical guidance and problem‑solving support to development teams when needed.
Ideally you will have:
* Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a regulated industry (medical devices strongly preferred).
* Familiarity with global electrical standards (e.g., IEC 60601, IEC 61000 or similar).
* Strong communication, organisational, and time management capabilities.
* Solid background in electronic design methodologies, including simulation, schematic development, and PCB layout.
* Hands‑on experience designing control and drive circuitry for DC, stepper, or BLDC motors.
* Confident working in a lab environment, including debugging, prototyping, and using electronic test equipment.
* Experience acting as a technical lead on multiple concurrent projects.
* Knowledge of design‑for‑manufacture (DFM) or design‑for‑test (DFT) principles.
