Business Development Representative
We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Business Development Representative to join our team in Galway. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and maximizing display opportunities within specified outlets, improving existing client share of space, distribution, and displays, and maintaining accurate data on customer databases.
* Maintain a regular call on all specified outlets within the agreed geographical area.
* Improve/maintain existing client share of space, distribution, and displays within these outlets.
* Identify and maximize further display opportunities within the outlets and install secondary items of point of sale material.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Advising the Field Sales Manager of retail enquiries/requests for major items of display equipment.
* Encouraging retailers to feature display as many POIs as possible.
* Motivating retailers to sustain their active co-operation in the display and space/recommendation of client products.
* Encouraging retailers to widen their distribution of client products.
* Maintaining full and accurate data on Customer database and daily reports.
* Reporting to the Field Sales Manager in respect of competitor activity, trade trends etc.
* Continuous education of retailers to maintain the recommended client layouts.
* Feedback on Competitor activity.
* Present to retailers on the market data supplied by our client.
* The introduction of offers on a regular basis to retailers.
* Attending and taking active part in team meetings as required.
Requirements
* FMCg Industry experience with 3+ years sales/merchandising experience in multiples and impulse grocery retail accounts.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* A desire to achieve excellence in execution.
* Accountability for the performance of their territory and an ability to be creative in dealing with problem accounts.
* An ability to continually improve ways of working.
* A strong communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills to be able to manage both internal and external relationships.
* IT literate with an ability to use handheld reporting technology.
* Full clean driving license.
