Land Acquisition SpecialistYou will: -Devise, manage & implement landowner negotiation strategies for large-scale development & energy infrastructure projects.Ensure on time delivery of all land agreements & rights for project development/construction.Manage complex agreements (options, leases, wayleaves, easements).Manage stakeholder & consultation obligationsRepresent company leading the negotiating of viable & cost-effective land deals that allow renewable energy projects to progress from start to finishSite selection through to agreed T&Cs to enable legal dept to prepare & finalise agreement.Pro-actively lead negotiations with landowners to secure the necessary agreements.Manage third-party independent valuation process.Establish good relationships with landowners, tenant farmers, land managers or others who own & manage land to ensure they are well informed of developments & progress.Directly introduce the project & provide the landowner with all the information available on the proposed development.Provide the landowner with information on agreements, the potential scale & type of infrastructure required on their land.Agree T&CS including capturing any special conditions or requirements the landowner may have that streamlines the negotiation process.Meticulous electronic recording of discussions; noting issues & seeking resolution asap.Liaise with in-house & external lawyers, project managers, consultants & JV as required.Attend any necessary consultations & meetings with stakeholders' groups.Keep informed of how regulations & practices may affect land strategies.While agreements are being finalised, remain engaged with the landownersMaintain accurate, detailed records, of negotiation status & key risks.Ensure all engagement & acquisition activities are conducted in line with internal governance standards & delegated authority processes.Assist as required, joint venture of co-development agreement partners in acquiring third party land to deliver Renewable Energy Portfolio.Develop, in conjunction with a Renewable Team, effective project plans to ensure appropriate Mgt of engagement with landowners & other relevant stakeholders for proposed projects.Co-ordinate title investigations & ensure accurate records are kept.Liaise with legal dept to progress agreements through to execution.Ensure H&S & Environmental policies & all relevant EU & National policies & complied withThe Person:Ideally you will have:Hons Degree (Level 8 FETAC) in Land Management, Agriculture, Business or equivalent.Min 6 years professional work exp from an agriculture, forestry, property project management background or related discipline.Familiarity with Irish Property Law & knowledge of the relevant documentation is essential.Experience of renewable energy projects & commercial understanding of business needs is required .Sound knowledge of sustainable land management practices & strong stakeholder management skills are highly desirable.Proven track record of successfully negotiating & concluding agreements with landowners is essential.Strong understanding of Land Acquisition processes, compensation & valuation principles, community relations best practice.The post will require a self-starting individual who can also work effectively as part of a wider team.Exp of the renewable energy sectors associated land agreements & project requirements will be highly advantageous.Excellent negotiating, influencing, presentation & communication skills.Resilient under pressure & able to manage sensitive issues diplomatically.Thorough knowledge of all aspects of land management & actually have been negotiating & concluding land transactions.Understand new regulations that are likely to affect land use.Organised & detailed focus, with strong reporting skills.Capability to communicate technical information clearly & simply; interpretation of maps & land forms & collection & present information in a logical & organised manner.A full driving license & your own vehicle will be essential.Can work effectively & positively in a team environment.Excellent & effective time- management & ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong relationship & reputational management exp.Self-starter & flexible outside of normal hours.Competent with MS Office software packages.Exceptional communication & conversational skills, including conflict resolution, risk management, & managing complex issues.Apply to discuss in confidence
