Job Title: Professor of Health Professions Education and Director of Health Professions Education Centre Reporting To: Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Location: RCSI, Dublin, Ireland Department: Health Professions Education Centre Contract type/duration: Full-time permanent ROLE PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE: RCSI is seeking to appoint its next innovative leader to the position of RCSI Professor of Health Professions Education and Director of Health Professions Education Centre (HPEC). The Director of the Health Professions Education Centre will be an internationally respected leader with extensive experience in education, development, research and executive management. The successful candidate will have the capability to thrive in this environment and grow RCSI's reputation for innovative education and research. This post will report to the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and will be supported by an expert HPEC team. Applicants will have a proven record of accomplishment in education, innovation and research in health professions education. We are open to considering candidates from a wide variety of medical, healthcare or educational backgrounds and interests. Successful experience in a senior clinical, academic and/or department lead role is essential. Working in a clinical inter-professional or multicultural context would be a distinct advantage.
