Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance. Experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with a focus on Benefit (e.g., ASC 715) or Compensation (e.g., ASC 710) accounting in a public accounting or multinational company setting. Preferred qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA). 6 years of experience in accounting or a related function. Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation. Ability to propose next steps and roadblock solutions and anticipate questions and challenges early, manage time, and follow work plans, and have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams. Responsibilities Be responsibe for US GAAP accounting for Payroll related accounts across EMEA. Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with new changes to existing processes. Provide financial records and supporting documentation to auditors, and assist with the development of process cycle memorandums and procedural walk-throughs. Ensure the financial close process and reporting is completed fully, on time and of the highest standard. Manage the delivery of the accounting processes performed by an external vendor ensuring that all service levels are met, the internal control environment is strong and a quality service is provided. Develop in-depth knowledge of tools and applications in support of the accounting function and lead projects that will yield efficiency through AI automation and standardization.
